The Lisbon Marriott Hotel has announced the appointment of Madalena Maurício as Operations Director.

With a consolidated international career at Marriott International, Madalena assumes leadership of the Accommodation, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Bar, Banquets, and Guest Experience areas, with direct responsibility for the hotel’s operational performance and strategic positioning in the corporate and MICE segments.

Before, she served as Finance Director of the Lisbon Marriott Hotel (2020–2026), leading the Finance & Accounting, Purchasing, and IT areas with a rigorous and results-oriented approach.

Under Madalena’s leadership, the hotel consistently exceeded budgetary targets, achieved historic records, recorded excellent audits, and presented associate engagement levels above defined targets. Her appointment represents a natural evolution within the organisation and reflects an integrated vision of the business, where strategy, profitability, and customer experience converge to generate sustainable growth.

Madalena began her international career in operational roles at Marriott hotels in Spain and subsequently assumed positions of increasing responsibility, notably as Accounts Receivable & Capex Controller at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House (2015–2016), Finance Supervisor (2016–2017), Finance Manager at the London Marriott Hotel Twickenham (2017–2018) and Assistant Director of Finance at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel (2018–2020).
