Insurance agencies to launch awards for the sector in Portugal

The Portuguese Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers is to launch awards for the sector and launch a post graduate degree.

APROSE will present the awards at the 11th National Congress of Insurance Agents and Brokers – a congress it organises annually – and which will take place on February 26 at the Lisbon Congress Centre (former FIL).

This year, APROSE is celebrating its 50th anniversary as the only association representing the sector.

The association will use this opportunity to publicise initiatives planned for 2026. The congress itself points to the path proposed by the new leadership, elected last year, aimed at stimulating greater professionalisation among distributors, focusing on their training at different levels.

Thus, the first postgraduate course in insurance management, promoted by APROSE and the Catholic University, will be launched at the congress, which also features an exhibition space for insurance brands. The project for specific training in insurance branches, to be offered by the APROSE Academy, with innovative aspects, will also be presented.

A highlight of the closing dinner will be the presentation of the APROSE Awards, awarded for the 3rd year.
