Transatlantic Business Summit takes place this week in Lisbon

The fifth edition of the Transatlantic Business Summit will take place on January 30 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.

Organised by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), this special edition celebrates the 75th anniversary of AmCham Portugal.

This year’s theme is ‘Shaping the Next Chapter’ offering a strategic reflection on the main themes that are shaping the global context and their impact on the business world.

It brings together leaders, decision-makers and experts to analyse issues of geostrategy, geopolitics and the evolution of the international order, as well as key global trends and emerging challenges.

Throughout the Summit, participants will have access to informed insights and in-depth analysis that allow them to anticipate trends, understand future scenarios and frame ongoing transformations in a strategic context.

It is a forum aimed at creating value, promoting a critical reflection that supports decision making in an increasingly more complex and uncertain environment.

Among the speakers at this edition are: banker António Horta-Osório and Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade (EDP) while the official opening will be conducted by the Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro.

The closing speech will be on the ‘Transatlantic Partnership and Shared Priorities for the Future” will be given by the Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy Lisbon, Mr. Douglas Koneff.
