Sharing Education Group announces national expansion and consolidation with new brands for 2025

The Sharing Education Group, one of the most prestigious and innovative premium international education groups in Portugal, is to expand its education facilities at its three schools – International Sharing School – Taguspark, Lisbon/Oeiras, Bright International School. Algarve, and the International Sharing School, Madeira.

At the International Sharing School in the Greater Lisbon area, the expansion plan foresees the construction of new facilities from 2026, which will include a Boarding House (student residence with 400 beds), a Sharing Club with co-working spaces, cafeteria, laundry, hairdresser and gym, as well as high-level sports facilities.

The global project represents an investment of €50 million by 2028, developed in partnership with Dukes Education and designed by the Danish studio Rosan Bosch Studio, in collaboration with the Portuguese architects Openbook Arquitetos and Saraiva + Associados.

Acquired in 2018, the school has become a benchmark international education hub in Portugal. The school, which originally had 100 pupils, today has 700+ students of more than 60 nationalities offering an IB (International Baccalaureate) and state-of-the-art facilities.

The campus offers a pupil-centric education model with a teacher and assistant for each class, high-quality school meals, luxury school transport, and a dynamic educational Danish design inspired by open and collaborative spaces.

The Bright International School in the Algarve, which was acquired a year ago, has doubled the number of students, from 70 to 140, a growth accompanied by a 30% increase in the teaching staff, largely recruited internationally, from other international schools in Europe.

The campus, which represents an investment of €10 million, is designed to accommodate up to 500 students over the next 3 to 4 years.

The school, which is a benchmark for the British and European market, currently has students of more than 25 nationalities, with British, Portuguese and American being the most represented.

The International Sharing School – Madeira, the group’s birthplace, is also experiencing a new phase of growth. The new campus, located in a historic building formerly owned by the Vatican, is in the final stages of construction and will have a soft opening in October 2025, with an official opening in January 2026.

The €15 million investment reinforces the Sharing Education Group’s commitment to the Autonomous Region of Madeira, which is increasingly attractive to international families.

The 2025/26 school year began with 60 new students (a total of 300), mostly from abroad — especially the United States, a country that recently reinforced direct air links with Madeira, a trend that is expected to grow in 2026.

International Education with a Portuguese Identity

With a strong visual identity inspired by the Madeira Flower (bird of paradise), the group reinforces its educational philosophy based on excellence, innovation and well-being.
The Sharing Education Group is distinguished by its multicultural environment and its vision of providing an education that combines human values, pedagogical quality and a global learning experience.
