ECB-Mota Engil consortium signs €700 million contract with Petrobas
Portuguese construction giant Mota-Engil told investors today that a consortium in which it has a 33% presence, has signed a new contract with Brazil’s energy company Petrobas for €700 million.
The consortium in question integrates the construction company Empresa Construtora Brasil (ECB) which in May became totally controlled by Mota-Engil.
The new 50-year contract in essence involves executing, building, assembling, commissioning, and assisted operations projects and integration with the Refinaria Duque de Caxias in Rio de Janeiro.
In the same note, Mota-Engil explains that “Petrobras also awarded the ECB a five-month extension of a contract currently in progress”, valued at around €35 million, “which includes the provision of collection, processing, final disposal and disposal services for the flexible lines of the ‘Submarine Warehouses’ in the Campos Basin”.
