The Vila Galé hotel group is to open nine new hotels in Portugal and Brazil by 2027 – a year in which it will have a total of 61 hotels in its chain – it announced on Thursday.

That means 12,764 rooms in 2027 and compares to the 52 hotels it currently manages today.

“We are investing in projects that promote and develop tourism, bringing together history, culture and sustainability.

“The goal is to offer an ever differentiated experience”, said the President and Founder of the Vila Galé Group, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida in a communiqué.

With these new ventures – whose investment the group did not disclose – Vila Galé will reach a total of 61 hotels and 12,764 rooms in 2027, compared to the 52 hotels (11,764 rooms) that are in operation this year in Portugal, Brazil, Spain and Cuba.

In Portugal, five hotels will be inaugurated: Vila Galé Miranda do Douro, Vila Galé Penacova, Vila Galé Paço Real de Caxias, Vila Galé Tejo (in Quinta da Cardiga) and Palácio Almada Carvalhais, in Largo Conde Barão, in Lisbon.
