Libertas invests €24 million in tourism and residential project
The Libertas Group is to invest €24 million in Upon Harbour, a €24 million tourism and residential project for the Bay of Seixal on the South Bank of the River Tagus in Lisbon.
The project involves refurbishing the former Mundet factory, a historic building from the times of Portugal’s cork industry in the area and will be integrated within a strategy of revitalising the city’s riverfront.
Upon Harbour will have views over the Bay of Seixal, offering 102 tourist apartments with five distinct formats from studio to three-bedrooms with loft and duplex, with prices starting at €275,000.
This new aparthotel has 248 beds with a panoramic pool, and rooftop bar, gym, sauna, events and meeting rooms, and a restaurant – Ebulição.
The four-star aparthotel is in a phase of completion, the project is both a hotel with the management secured by StayUpon Hospitality Group where the owners who choose to rent their apartments getting a guaranteed income of 5%.
A significant part of the units have already been sold. The owners can enjoy a range of services all-year-round such as a concierge and 24-hour reception.
