A Portuguese startup that has developed a supplement to “eliminate toxins from the body” has expanded its business to Spain.

Splendi, a startup from Póvoa de Varzim, founded by Tiago Ferreira, Carlos Oliveira, and Nicola Bandeira in 2025, are preparing the company to expand its business to the Spanish market “in a growth sector marked by strong competition” according to the CEO and founder Tiago Ferreira.

The co-founders have created a food supplement in response to a market “saturated with products that promise a lot but deliver little”.

Tiago Ferreira has a lot of experience under his belt. He was the quality control director of pharmaceutical company Ferraz Pharmacy in Portugal and worked as a intestinal health specialist for UK company Symprove Ltd.

Research has led them to a product, which they have called “Hang Out”, to “eliminate toxins from the body, reduce the effects of overeating and promote metabolic balance and well-being in daily life,” says CEO Tiago, who graduated in microbiology from the Catholic University of Portugal.

The scientist guarantees that the supplement is produced with carefully selected ingredients, “clinically relevant doses” and subject to pharmaceutical quality control (GMP). “Hang Out is an example of Suplendi’s commitment to real effectiveness, transparency and national production,” he adds.
