Angels Way makes 10th investment
The AngelsWay investment fund, community-managed and regulated by the CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission), has closed its 10th investment round, thus reaching half of its objective of investing in 20 early-stage technology-based startups within two years.
The 10th investment was made in Hands On, the first Portuguese marketplace for workshops and other in-person learning experiences. This company joins a portfolio of startups such as Granter AI, Dojo AI, Medgical, Purmi, Wiseworld, Courtmaster, Curiouz, ByTheLaw, and Nixar, which together are now valued at €38 million.
The fund, managed by OW Ventures, aims to identify and support the most promising startups in Portugal, with fixed investments of €50,000.
To invest in startups, the 436 small investors who make up the innovative collective analyse, discuss, and vote on more than 100 candidate projects over more than 200 collaborative work sessions.
After a year of work, the community will meet in person for the first time, with all the invested startups and some strategic partners.
