Portugal’s airports saw 72.5 million passengers in 2025
Portugal’s airports saw a record 72.5 million passengers lass through them in 2025 while Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport processed 36.1 million passengers, up 2.9% on 2024.
According to data from the Vinci Group which operates many of Europe’s airports, the total number of passengers transported to and from Portuguese airports managed by ANA was 72.5 million, a growth of 4.7% on the previous year.
According to the French group, 16.9 million people were processed at Porto airport (+6.3%), while Faro airport saw an increase in passengers of 5.8% to 10.4 million passengers.
However airports in Madeira saw the most growth in 2025, exceeding 5.6 million passengers, a growth of 12%.
On the other hand, airports in the Azores saw more modest growth an increase of 2.7% to a total of 3.3 million passengers.
Vinci highlights the “strong growth at Lisbon airport continues with a remarkable growth in long haul flights, particularly to Asia and Latin America.
The French group also singles out Porto which saw an increase in traffic driven by the growth in low-cost airline special offers as well as the expansion of transatlantic routes.
