Web Summit saw €100 million turnover in 2025

Web Summit enjoyed a turnover of €100 million in November last year while bringing in an estimated €300 million for Lisbon in terms of hotel bookings and for restaurants, bars, shops, tourist attractions and transport receipts. 

“2025 was a historic year and we hope that 2026 will be even better”, said Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of Web Summit, adding that the organisation would beef up its team by 20% with over 60 workers, with 20 at its Lisbon office.

The summit closed 2025 with revenues of over €100 million” announced Paddy Cosgrave on LinkedIn calling 2025 as a “record”.

The result was an increase on the €79 million obtained in 2024. Web Summit also has similar summits in Brazil, Qatar and Canada.

And Lisbon City Council allocated €7.24 million for the 2025 edition of Web Summit.

Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon saw record participation with 71,386 attendees from 157 countries, including 2,725 startups (with 40% women-founded) and 1,857 investors, marking a significant year for global tech collaboration and innovation”.
