Solverde Group closes 2025 with guest uptick to 229,000

The Solverde Casinos & Hotéis group closed 2025 with an increase in the number of guests, reaching 229,000, and had an average occupancy rate of 59%, with 40% of guests being Portuguese.

These metrics allowed the group to record a 6% growth in revenue per available room, compared to the same period last year.

The group has four hotels: Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Centre (Vila Nova de Gaia), Hotel Casino Chaves, Hotel Algarve Casino (Portimão), and Hotel Apartmento Solverde (Espinho), all registered an increase of 7% in average occupation rate on 2024.

Data shows that the German market is the most relevant with the largest increase in bookings, 15%. ​The Spanish follow, with a growth of 4%, the United Kingdom and France.

Albano Rosa, General Manager of Solverde Hotels, states that “the increase in tourism, increasingly driven by Portuguese guests, reflects the confidence in our units and our excellent service. ​A clear sign of this recognition is the strong growth in direct bookings, which increased by 27% through our channels, without intermediaries. ​These are numbers that make us proud and show that we are on the right track when it comes to enhancing guest experiences.”
