The bank informed, in a statement to the Securities and Exchange Market Commission (CMVM), that “the Bank of Cape Verde publicly announced, on 24 November 2025, its decision not to oppose the proposed sale by Caixa Geral de Depósitos and acquisition by Coris Holding, S.A. of 59.81% of the voting rights and shares representing the share capital of Banco Comercial do Atlântico, S.A. (“BCA”), as communicated by Caixa on 14 March 2024, and which had been under consideration since 21 June 2024”.
Following this decision, Caixa adds that the “sale process should be completed in the month of January, 2026”, reaffirming its commitment to BCA staff and customers, guaranteeing full corporate support as shareholder until the sale is completed and Coris Holding enters the BCA shareholding structure.”
