Mercan Properties has marked its debut in Greater Lisbon with the opening of the Moxy Alfragide Lisbon in an investment worth €63 million.

The hotel, which has 218 rooms and is managed by AHM – Ace Hospitality Management, represents the fourth hotel unit from the Marriott brand developed by the Canadian group in Portugal.

According to Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan Properties, the choice of Alfragide was strategic: “Each project we develop is intended to be unique, offering excellent services and a positive impact on the community. Location is key, and Alfragide is becoming one of the most dynamic business hubs in the capital.”

The Moxy Alfragide Lisbon focuses strongly on the corporate and MICE segment – one of the strategic pillars of the group.

“We believe that Alfragide is a relevant complement to Lisbon’s existing offer with clear competitive advantages – close to the airport, good road access, and an increasingly more central and dynamic location”, said Mariano Faz, CEO of AHM.

The hotel is distinguished by the breadth of its spaces and the integrated offer that combines hospitality and leisure. It has spacious meeting rooms, parking with places for buses and a differentiated gastronomic concept, designed to meet the demands of business travelers and groups.
