Nextil to buy three Portuguese textile firms

The Spanish textile company Nextil (formerly Dogi) is to invest in Portugal by acquiring three Portuguese textile companies.

The group from Catalonia, which produces in Guatemala, Portugal, US, and Italy, says that it is in advanced negotiations to acquire three textile companies in Portugal which is declined to identify.

But it did indicate that one closed 2024 with a turnover of €25-30 million, while the others had a turnover of €12 million and €14 million respectively.

Nextil currently has two companies in Portugal: Sici92 in Braga which is aimed at the luxury segment, and Playvest which specialises in underwear.
