Otonomee posts 50 job vacancies
Outsourcing company Otonomee has posted 50 job vacancies as it expands its activities in Portugal.
Otonomee was founded in the grips of the pandemic, to provide a different offering in the Outsourcing Industry. By leveraging its remote working model, the company provides premium Customer Experience with a high quality, flexible and entrepreneurial approach.
More than 20 years of industry experience helping some of the most iconic brands in the world had shown that the traditional model in CX outsourcing was broken. Broken for Employees and for Customers. The dream that was sold was often different from the reality.
The traditional model revolved around working in Call Centers located in major cities. It meant employees’ lives revolved around big buildings, big cities, long commutes and high costs of living.
Asking employees to uproot their lives and move countries to centralised locations, limited the hiring pool, led to high attrition and low engagement. This resulted in constant re-hiring, re-training, poor quality and ultimately low value for customers.
Otonomee provides an alternative offering to traditional BPO’s, partnering with scaling businesses, and presenting a more tailored, bespoke service, that is not constrained by contact center capacity. It offers a faster, more nimble and responsive service for clients. A service that can ramp up anywhere, in response to market needs, and flex and adapt to seasonal or product driven needs.
It believes that by leveraging a fully remote working model the company can give team members the best of work-life integration, supporting scaling businesses from their own homes, without asking employees to move cities, countries or continents.
Today, with over 400 employees across five countries and 18 nationalities, Otonomee continues to grow.
Otonomee was born at the dinner table of Hilary and Aidan O’Shea during the pandemic. What started as a conversation has grown into a B Corp-certified company that puts culture, community, and sustainability at its core.
From the outset, Otonomee was designed as a business model, not just a workplace. Remote-first here means intentional systems, values-led leadership, and a culture that thrives on autonomy and connection. As Chief People Officer, Brendan Ring explains, “This latest round of job openings is not just about numbers but finding passionate, driven people who want to be part of a company built with purpose and intentionality.”
