Overseas unveils €50 million tourism project for Estremoz

The developer Overseas has announced the development of two tourism projects on the Herdade das Pinhas estate, 7km from Estremoz in the Alentejo region of Portugal.

The total investment is around €50 million and is one of the largest developments in the district with a direct impact by creating around 100 jobs.

The first project involves a five-star hotel with spa and a space for events and exhibitions, as well as wine production, winery and wine shop.

The hotel will be designed by the Porto architects studio MassLab which will be designing for a 13,500m2 construction area.

The estate also has a residence and former farming and fisheries warehouses which will be partially refurbished.

The second project comprises tourism properties covering an area of 7,300m2 complementing the hotel offer.

According to the developer the entire complex conceived to become a benchmark regarding environmental sustainability with nZEB classification, ensuring zero or close to zero emissions.
