Mercan Properties invests €33 million in new wing for Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel

The Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel in Porto, which opened two years ago, is to create 78 new rooms, a spa, gym and indoor pool in an investment of over €33 million in a new block.

The expansion project is part of ensuring that the hotel is positioned as a five-star unit which has created 20 full-time jobs.

“Adding a new wing to the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel was spurred by its success which since it was opened in 2023 has had a key role in revitalizing the Lapa quarter.

“Its impact on the neighborhood has been visible, contributing towards restoring the character and vitality of one of the most historic and symbolic neighbourhoods in Porto”, says Álvaro Aragão, Managing Director of the 5-star hotel under the management of Ace Hospitality Management. (AHM)
