Vida Ovar changes hands

Sogenial Immobilier, acting on behalf of an open French fund and supported locally by SERIS REIM, has entered Portugal’s shopping centres market with the acquisition of Vida Ovar.

The sale process was conducted by DILS Portugal which acted as the sell-side advisor for owners White Sand.

Acquired by White Sand in 2020, the shopping centre was subject to a wide-ranging business plan that has culminated five years later in its current sale.

Located in Ovar in the Aveiro district, Vida Ovar overs 20,000m2 and comprises 61 shops, including 10 restaurants, a cinema, and brands such as Continente, Worten, SportZone, Decathlon, Fitness Up and Hospital da Trofa.

Sogenial Immobilier arrived in Portugal with the purchase of Évora Retail Park in December, 2023.
