Corticeira Amorim distinguished by World Finance magazine
Cork giant Corticeira Amorim was distinguished by the prestigious magazine World Finance consolidating its position as an international benchmark wine sector products industry.
The Portuguese company was named “Best Company in Carbon Reduction in the Wine Products Industry” at the World Finance Carbon Awards 2024, which recognise companies that lead decarbonisation trends through continuous transformation in all business areas, reducing the impact on people and the planet, supported by the introduction of innovative and advanced technologies to combat CO2 emissions by capturing, storing, removing, and avoiding them.
And at the World Finance Sustainability Awards 2025 it was highlighted as the ‘Most Sustainable Company in the Wine Products Industry’, an award it has consistently picked up since 2019.
This edition recognised companies whose actions and ambitions go beyond compliance with regulatory requirements, setting new standards in terms of climate responsibility, social equity and sustainable innovation. The organisation believes that the work of these institutions inspires global change, promoting a more resilient and just future.
