Startup Valencia and Unicorn Factory Lisboa have signed a cooperation agreement to reinforce the links between both entrepreneurial ecosystems.

The aim is to position both cities as strategic technology hubs in Southern Europe.

This alliance will ease internationalisation, talent exchange and create joint opportunities for startups and scale-ups in Spain and Portugal.

Through this partnership, both organisations will foster support programmes to entrepreneurs, link startups to key players in the technology ecosystem, and make shared work spaces available in the respective cities, encouraging mobility and cooperation between startups.

The agreement will also include joint participation in large international technology events like Valencia Digital Summit which celebrates its eighth edition from 22 to 23 October at the Valencia City of Arts and Sciences where Unicorn Factory Lisboa will have a central role.

A cooperation will also be established for Web Summit Lisboa which runs from 10-13 November, 2025, offering logistics support and visibility to the Valencia startup delegation.

Among the planned initiatives are deep dive trips to better understand the local ecosystems, strategic meetings with companies and institutions and joint sector activities in areas such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, gaming and Web3.
